We want you to have a great time during your stay but politely ask you to adhere to the following rules to help keep the property in good order for our next guests and so not to upset our neighbours

We want you to have a great time during your stay but politely ask you to adhere to the following rules to help keep the property in good order for our next guests and so not to upset our neighbours:

  • Check-in and check-out - unless an early check-in or late check-out has been agreed in advance, please adhere to the 3pm check-in and 11am check-out times to give us the opportunity to prepare the property for you and our next guests.
  • No parties or events - by this we mean no additional guests should be invited to a party or event unless by pre-arrangement with the host.
  • Smoking/vaping - smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited within the property.
  • Fire safety - please use the wood burning stoves and firepit responsibly, as per the instructions in our guide to the house.  Please refrain from lighting candles (tea lights ok) or indoor fireworks, and please ensure all heated hair-styling equipment is unplugged after use and rested on the heatproof mats provided.
  • Septic tanks - please do not flush any products down the toilet other than toilet paper, not even “flushable” items, otherwise it could cause a blockage in the septic tank - please use the bins provided.
  • Dogs - we accept two well-behaved dogs at the property, but only if we have been informed in advance.  We ask guests not to allow dogs upstairs or on the furniture, nor to leave them alone in the property for long periods of time or unattended in the garden.
  • Noise - our quiet hours are 11pm to 7am and we ask guests to be mindful of our immediate neighbours towards the rear of the property during these times.
  • Fireworks - the use of fireworks is prohibited due to the close location of our neighbours’ horses.
  • Number of guests - please do not exceed the maximum number of guests at the property.
  • EV charging - the charging of EVs, electric bikes and scooters is prohibited.  
  • Damages - please report any damages to us, even small ones, to help us ensure that everything is as it should be for our next guests.
  • Glitter decorations - please do not sprinkle glitter decorations on the tables as the colour (and any words) can transfer onto the wood if they get wet.
  • No food upstairs - please help us keep our old home mouse-free by not taking food upstairs.
